The card you absolutely want in your first hand is Lord of Morthond. With that and thanks to Thranduil and the resource ax cards you're able to put two allies and draw two extra card each round. If you doesn't get Lord of Morthond in the first hand you can try with Galadriel. Sneak Attack and Reinforcements work well with Galadriel, silvan and lord of Morthond. At the start, as you have strong heroes in , they suck in both and . So better for you if you build up your army quickly!

You could also consider Strength of Arms and A Very Good Tale.

I'm not sure I'm seeing the synergy you're getting from Sneak Attack and Reinforcements with either Galadriel or Lord of Morthond. (Galadriel's ability only works when you play her from your hand, so it specifically does not work with either Sneak Attack or Reinforcements, and Lord of Morthond likewise requiring playing, not putting into play, allies, as both Sneak Attack & Reinforcements do.) Maybe I'm missing something?

Oh, and in case you weren't joking: Morthond is a river in Gondor (one of seven). It's a ways east from Minas Tirith, running from the mountains to the sea. Aragorn and the Grey Company pass it in the chapter "The Grey Company" (chapter 2 of the Return of the King).

@SfrugAre you sure about the difference between "put in play" and "playing"?

@simone I will quote directly fron the Rules Reference: Some abilities cause cards to be put into play. This bypasses the need to pay the card’s cost, as well as any restrictions or prohibitions regarding the potential of playing that card. A card that is put into play enters play in its controller’s play area. A card that is put into play is not considered to have been played
