This deck contains the following proxies: Daeron's Runes = Drinking Song, Hobbit-sense = The Shirefolk

Concerning Hobbits

Would you like to feel like an actual hobbit when playing this game? Does the thought of growing things, a good pipe, and a pint of ale sound more appealing to you than dealing with those nasty big folk of the world? Then look no further, my hairy-footed friend! I have the deck for you!

This is a fun deck that is simply trying to capture the essence of a hobbit. All you need in life is a Good Meal, your Hobbit Pipe, and some Old Toby to fill it. You could visit Bilbo Baggins at Bag End to see if he has any pipes to spare! While your there, you may see Gandalf with some of his fireworks! I wouldn't hang out with him too long though. After all, he has been labeled a disturber of peace. You wouldn't want Robin Smallburrow to find out you've been hanging about with the likes of him.

Should you find yourself being noticed by Sharky and his lot, you could always Double Back for Elevenses. Or you could Scout Ahead to see what's for afternoon tea! If you do get some nasty orc showing up on your front doorstep, Treebeard could help you out, seeing how fond he is of the halflings. All things considered, I would go along with a company that's good at putting up a fight if you intend to go out into the world. This deck wants only the simple pleasures of life. Once he gets off his holiday, I hear Gaffer Gamgee is a good fellow to have join your party!

Opening Hand

Resourceful is what you want in your opening hand. I would put the first two on Pippin, and one on Merry. Other good things to see in your opening hand are Fast Hitch, Hobbit Pony, and a Hobbit Pipe.

Combos/General Play Tips

This deck doesn't have too many combos, as it is mainly just a fun and thematic deck. The main combo is with Merry, Hobbit Pony, and Elevenses. You ultimately want Merry to have two Fast Hitches and a Hobbit Pony. Then, you can commit him to the quest and ready him so that he can use his ability on an enemy. If you need threat reduction, you can then use Elevenses to remove him from the quest and any other of your hobbits that have a Hobbit Pony. Re-commit Merry with Hobbit Pony, then ready him again with the second Fast Hitch to attack. With Friend of Friends on him and Pippin, they can attack for 4 combined, along with your big hitting allies: Treebeard and Gandalf. Pippin gets a Fast Hitch, Hobbit Pony, and Hobbit Pipe, and Folco gets a Hobbit Pony and Hobbit Pipe. Once Mount Gundabad comes out, I would take out one copy of Treebeard, Gather Information, and Wizard Pipe to put in three copies of Gaffer Gamgee.

I hope you enjoy this deck!
