Denison 619
Daily Challenge: Play Intruders in Chetwood and draw at least 6 cards with a single Old Toby.
Denison's Difficulty Level: 5
Deck Summary
Here is another unoptimized deck that aims to fulfill the goal of the challenge with an outside chance of actually winning. All the available pipes are here with all of the pipe-related events. The suite of ents are here to actually beat the quest, which I managed to do in 9 rounds.
Quest Summary
Very unusual game of Chetwood in that only one side quest emerged and that was at the end of the game. But that's the way it goes playing true solo. My threat hit 48 before using the Aragorn reset and then Smoke Rings kept threat under control until Old Toby hit the goal of 6 cards exactly. The fact that Iarion is another target for DĂșnedain Pipe certainly helped.
Conclusion
This deck was my first featuring the pipe event cards (and why I keep enjoying the Daily Challenges). I usually use the pipes for their abilities and not their trait. Drawing for 6 and reducing threat by 6 is very cool, but so much of the deck was devoted for reaching those big effects, there isn't much left in the deck to actually win with! Having played with them now I am inspired to go back and look how others have been building around them.
9 completed rounds = 90 Total combined Threat = 40 Total damage on Heroes = 5 Cost of dead Heroes = 0 Victory points = 0 TOTAL SCORE = 135
Awesome deck and very hilarious
