I'm fairly new to the game, been playing for just under a year. I've been playing around with Erestor for a bit to try and come up with a decent deck with him. This is my 5th attempt and I like it. The idea is to get at least one fully pumped up Guardian of Esgaroth with Wild Stallion, Valiant Determination and Hauberk of Mail. There's a lot of resource generation and smoothing to try and get the board state up and running quickly. I always mulligan for Steward of Gondor and put it on Arwen Undómiel. Errand-rider comes in handy to move resources to Denethor to pay for the guardian and he can use his ability to move resources to Arwen Undómiel.

I'm really enjoying playing this deck solo, and I'm going to see how far it can go without tweaking. So far I've failed to beat dol guldur after 10 attempts, the best I did was with Arwen Undómiel as captive but with Song of Travel and Steward of Gondor on Denethor.

Version 2.0 added Northern Tracker to try and beat a journey to Rhosgobel, which the original version couldn't handle.

Notes on Version 2.0:

This deck has been going well and is beating most quests on the first attempt. However, I'm thinking that I should put some more defence in the deck as Denethor still struggles against the more powerful enemies. My choices are either Ancestral Armor, Protector of Lórien, or Dúnedain Warning. Ancestral Armor is too expensive, unless I put Steward of Gondor on Denethor, but that might cause me to be starved of Spirit resources. Protector of Lórien would be good, but I don't consistently have cards to discard, I'd have to play with it a few times to test and see. I'd love to have a Gondorian Shield, but I have no access to tactics.

I've run out of cards in my deck a few times, so I might add another Will of the West, at the expense of an Elven-light, which I rarely use.

Notes on Version 3.0:

Added Protector of Lórien, which came in handy against the Nazgul in Flight to the Ford, and also allowed me to buff Erestor as well to quest for more, which is especially good when he has Light of Valinor. Reducing Silver Harp to 2 instead of 3 copies in the deck caused problems in the early game where I was losing a lot of cards I would have liked to have kept around, so I might put that back in. I ran out of cards again in Flight to the Ford, so I think another Will of the West would be really useful, but I'm struggling to decide what to cut. My single Elven-light came in handy so I'd like to keep that. I think pulling out Dwarven Tomb in favour of a Will of the West would work, even though I've used it to good effect on a few quests.
