*Note: Replace with Tactics Éowyn.

This is the combat half of a two-handed Fellowship deck (see The Spirit of Pippin for deck 2). The deck here is built around defense from Blood of Númenor on Denethor and Gondorian Fire on Dúnhere. By splitting the two pumpable attachments, it provides a bit more action advantage rather than having one hero try and perform both offensive and defensive duties.

This deck can generate large quantities of resources quickly, with the possibility of getting Steward of Gondor, Imladris Stargazer, and the Zigil Miner into play on the first turn while still having two spirit and one tactics resource at your disposal. In addition, the Errand-riders can help ensure resource smoothing (notably, you can save them for combat phase, then move resources to either Denethor or Dúnhere, depending on which needs the bigger buff.

The nice thing about this build is that Dúnhere and help keep the staging area under control by attacking into it multiple times per turn. In fact, with a first turn Steward of Gondor and Gondorian Fire, he can hit the staging area with a six point attack. If you wait until turn 2 he could hit the staging area for ten.

Mulligan for the Steward of Gondor, then Forge for attachments as soon as you can. Gandalf is primarily for card draw early on until you get the blood and fire combination setup, then you can cycle him for his threat reduction.
