I built this deck to play through the Heirs of Numenor/Against the Shadow cycle, using only cards that would have been available at the time (progression-style).

Resource generation is primarily achieved through the Zigil Miner/Imladris Stargazer combo. The extra resources go on Boromir, of course, both to power the high-cost Eagles of the Misty Mountains and, critically, to turn him into a repeating shotgun with Gondorian Fire. Once he's sitting on a pile of resources, he's basically unstoppable - the trick is getting him to that point.

With Imladris Stargazer, you'll be churning through the deck pretty nicely, and can put together Boromir's combo pieces more easily. The Song of Travel goes on Aragorn, as there are few Lore cards and his resources will be needed to pay for Spirit cards. A Good Harvest is there for backup resource smoothing, especially in the early game.

The heroes are weak at questing, which is where Arwen Undómiel, Bofur, and the Ethir Swordsman come in. Of course, for this particular cycle, Siege and Battle are common, making the low willpower of the heroes not as much of an issue. Siege is problematic for many decks, but pop a Gondorian Shield on Boromir; Eleanor can use the other when she's not cancelling treacheries.

No threat reduction is needed, of course: Boromir will send your threat skyrocketing, but Aragorn is there to bring it back down just before you threat out.

The Ravens of the Mountain are only occasionally useful, and I couldn't resist the Palantir in a deck where high threat is almost meaningless :) If nothing else, these cards can always be discarded to Zigil Miner.

I found this to be a good solo deck for the HoN/AtS cycle - though it couldn't beat all the quests (Into Ithilien continues to bash me against the wall), it handled most of them well!
