doomguard 1963

goal is, to put as many hitpoints on dori as possible. starting with the ring and well preserved he has a potent healing from the start.

then mulligan for the ring of barahir and give him as much artifacts you can get. there are many:

  • celibrian stone
  • dagger
  • horn of gondor
  • magic ring
  • necklace
  • ring of thror
  • stone of elosterion
  • arkenstone
  • thors map and key

most of them are not restricted and can be played with bard

with up to 2 ciradel plates (when he has a golden belt, try to get him the plate with imladris stargazer and well equipped) he can pile an amout of hitpoints:

(3 base +8+(barahir 2-10) up to 21

he can use his ability up to 2 times in the combatphase to help others out and take hit undefended for fights at his side. sometimes it is neded to heal him during the combatphase, this can be realised with warden, cargiver or self preservation. once per round the ring will do his job.

That's a very, very cool deck and you managed to use a binder material in a meaningful way. But sadly, i'm pretty sure you would get a way better mileage out of this engine if you swapped Dori out for Gloin/Gimli and used song of mocking and vigilant guard for redirecting.

song of mocking cannot be played on beorn and vigilant guard can only take 1 damage per use. this deck can absorb dmg from the start. and (as you can see in the fellowship) this deck should support beorn in the other deck.

and, to make it work u NEED these attachements, this deck works without a specific card. yes ring of barahir is the most effective one, but without ring and 2 plate mails it is also good.

Now that i know the context, i change my mind, it actually does work better with Beorn, i've seen this deck in the trending feed with no fellowship context as a single deck :P
