Dwarves can be fun!

I got the idea from @AtaruSlash on COTR about the Dain/Armored Destrier combo, so I built around that and I think I came up with a dwarf deck that is pretty fun to play.

The general strategy is to throw out a ton of allies and let Dain Ironfoot buff the table. Getting Armored Destrier on him allows him to defend, yet still be ready so he can buff attacks. You can quest and attack for a large amount once you get your board state going. Resources come through Thorin Oakenshield, Captain's Wisdom, and We Are Not Idle. Card draw comes from Ori, King Under the Mountain, Legacy of Durin, and WANI. This deck also uses the Dwarven "Discard from the deck" strategy. A Very Good Tale, KUtM, and Ered Nimrais Prospector can get you free resources via Hidden Cache or a free ally via Ered Luin Miner. There are some very nice combos here...Heir of Mardil/CW, but my favorite is We Are Not Idle/Lure of Moria. I have banked 15 resources when the board is full of allies.

I would say in your opening hand you ideally want some resource accelerators/mustering (CW,AVGT), some cheap allies, and hopefully a Destrier. Try to get to 5 dwarves as soon as possible; good early cards are Erebor Record Keeper or any of the 2 cost Lore dwarves, and Fili because he will get you two allies for 3 resources.

If you can survive the early rounds you should be good with all of the card draw, mustering, and resource gen. It has beaten about 5 quests so far with very few problems. It's a bit vulnerable early game because of the high threat, tough treachery cards can be a pain, and obviously ally-hate encounters can be rough, but it can power through quite a lot.

I play mostly solo, so this deck is tuned to that, but I think you would be welcome at any multiplayer as there aren't too many uniques that aren't dwarf specific. You can mix and match with the sideboard and I am sure that Dwarven Sellsword will go in as soon as TDR is released. Would appreciate your opinion on how I can make it better!

Updates: Have dropped Master of Lore for Narvi's belt to smooth out the lore/leadership resources. Also dropped To me! O my kinsfolk!. Took out a lot of the win more types and went for more allies to sync up better with AVGT. I left a lot of the older cards in the sideboard, so you can mix and match depending on the quest. It has beaten every quest I have taken it up against...Druadan Forest, Intruders in Chetwood, Voyage Across Belegaer. I will keep updating it.
