Idea is simple: Recursive Thicket of Spears with Háma.

Amarthiúl is the perfect association with Háma since he generates two ressources in two spheres.

Please have a look at all other deck having the same mechanics in the link at the end of the description.

The singularity of this version is that it includes both Warden of Annúminas and Northern Tracker, it handles location and quest quite well. Faramir help a lot of course.

This version is more a multiplayer version with a lot of Sentinel and Ranged character.

To make it more suited for solo play, I would remove most of the non-Dunedain Ranged and Sentinel character and replace it by deck-shrinker card such as We Are Not Idle, Campfire Tales or Hidden Cache. Note that Dúnedain Hunter are not essential and can be removed also.

Final Note Aragorn is also there in a multiplayer perspective. Should you play this deck in solo, you could switch for any other tactic hero. Mablung is certainly a good option since he gives you additional resource but I think I would go for Théoden which has well rounded stats.

This deck introduces some novelty to the Dunedain decks with Hama and Thicket of Spears: questing power and location management. But isn't it too random to depend on a Very Good Tale to get them into play? Or am I missing something :/?

A very good tale is only one way to put them in play. Song of travel gives spirit ressources icon to Amarthiul and with heir of valandil/steward of gondor you have no problem paying for them.

Right, I have missed something :D Nice deck, have to give it chance ;)

As you play no weapons, you could replace one song for a Celebrian Stone, which also grants you the sphere icon and gives you 2 more WP

Yes, I thought about that posssibility but that will only boost my quest power since I would be unable to use the resource of Aragorn for spirit. This resource is indeed required for thicket of spears. And I want to be able to use both thicket of spears and elven light every turn.

That is why the spirit icon must go to Amarthiul which generates 2 ressource most of the time even before I attach Steward of Gondor to him.

Yes, sure, I understand what you mean, but, you really need to play thicket absolutely each turn?

There is no turn where you can just use a feint ? I've never played the Háma-thicket combo, so I'm not familiar with it, but it looks like some turns you can take a breath and use some resources to play other things.

The first few turn maybe but the ultimate goal of this deck is to keep a lot of enemy engaged to boost your Dunedains. So by the time the celebrian stone comes out, you will be in a "enemy-lock" situation.

For example I played a game recently where I kept 14 enemy engaged with me. With 2 Warden of Annúminas, I was questing at 28 ! At this point, if you do not have Thicket of Spears, you are dead.

But that is how I play it: engage all enemy and cancel their attacks. I find it fun and risky ^^

Another way of playing the deck is to keep less enemy engaged to be able to handle them "normally" and keep thicket of spears if things get out of hand. That is safer (or wiser), but your dunedains will not quest/defend/attack above 4 - 5 each, in an ideal situation.

Morover, that means you will have to suffer shadow effects. As you can see, I do not have any way to deal with shadow effect in this deck. Would you go for the safer road, I would recommend to include some.
