"Denethor hides behind strong walls" is a low threat support deck with a bite. It has moderat healing / moderat card draw and a strong defence and also minor tricks with stageingarea threat reduction. The goal us to have Denethor as the prime defender for everybody and ignoring shadow cards.
Defender: Denethor gets A Burning Brand, Gondorian Shield,Unexpected Courage (from partner). For desperat times he uses Behind Strong Walls and Protector of Lórien.
Backup defender: Bilbo Baggins get A Burning Brand, Fast Hitch, Ring Mail or Defender of Rammas.
Card draw: Bilbo Baggins, Gléowine and Daeron's Runes
Healing: Warden of Healing, Daughter of the Nimrodel, Self Preservation and Gondorian Discipline.
Attack: Legolas supported with Rivendell Blade and/or Ranger Bow/Dagger of Westernesse/Blade of Gondolin can kick most ememies hard. The Black Arrow is for special foes. With range Legolas can help partner attack. Minor help from lore allies.
Partner needs to have: Unexpected Courage, Arwen Undómiel and/or Dúnedain Signal to give to Denethor. With sentinel he can also help partner defend. This is very important. For success the partner deck needs strong Questing capabilities.
Partner gets: Rivendell Blade, Asfaloth , healing help and card draw.
Suggested partner deck heroes example: Aragorn, Glorfindel and Éowyn
Tricks:Secret Paths, Elf-stone, Radagast's Cunning, Thror's Map, Ithilien Tracker and Ranger Spikes.
Variation: Use Pippin instead of Bilbo Baggins and include some Hobbit cards.
Weakness: Questing.
