Lovely to see these coming up here. I'm just rediscovering my collection & have been glancing back at those articles. Top notch!

Thank you for this deck. It's been useful in learning the game mechanics and how the cards synergize with each other.

On my fifth run of Passage through Mirkwood I almost beat the Ungoliant Spawn with it having only 1 damage left!

This is a great deck. I EASILY beat the first scenario of the core game. For the last scenario card, I pulled the "find and kill Ungoliant's Spawn" one. When getting that card, you need to use Denethor's ability every round to look at the top card of the encounter deck and put it below the deck. Doing this will allow you to get to the Spawn much quicker and bring him out. Then when he did appear, I had like 6 or 7 Allies on the table already. Killed him in 2 rounds. First round put 8 out of 9 damage on him, second round obliterated him. Easy!

Thank You @Beorn for the deck and the article. Just got into the game, and this was extremly helpful, even for me as someone with some experience in card games. After some practice with the pre-build core set decks, I was able to beat this scenario at second try.
