Typical trite and totally overdone Gandalf The Grey/Elrond Half-elven army deck with the predictable Glorfindel of the golden flower in auxiliary.

Most of the allies are unique and high cost per normal. Most everything is summoned using Vilya every single turn from turn one. I originally also had Steward but it isn't really needed here. This build is flexible in terms of allies to include. Swap out any ally for whoever as needed. (Like Brok Ironfist!)

Note: This deck is the worst possible choice (AKA best choice) for a Fellowship event because the unique character pool is quite robust and selfish.

How to Go

  • Mulligan for Vilya at all costs
  • Summon powerful allies every turn for free with Vilya
  • Rig your top deck using elvish astronomy
  • Find/strip out duplicate attachments, thin the deck, and trigger a deck reshuffle on command with Master of the Forge if the stars are not right. What a G!
  • Give Gandalf his stuff
  • Give Glorfindel his stuff
  • Expected Courage goes on Elrond. Or Gandalf
  • Failsafe Treasure-hunter goes on Glorfindel as he should be questing every turn
  • Swap the top deck with Wizard Pipe to chain with Vilya as needed

What amazing deck. I'll play it once I get home.

This deck turns the Khazadum deluxe box into Passage through Mirkwood. I guess I need to try harder quests.

This deck turns the Khazadum deluxe box into Passage through Mirkwood easy mode. I guess I need to try harder quests.
