Warden of Arnor 5748

One of two location control decks I buit for my Archetype Analysis - Location Control article. Does plenty of standard progress placing with Explorer's Almanac, The Evening Star, Asfaloth and Mirkwood Explorers, but the initial idea behind the deck was to play around with Mariner's Compass and Distant Stars to just keep the nicer locations in play. If you find Ghân-buri-Ghân then he combos brilliantly with Distant Stars. Gildor's Counsel of course also helps keep the staging area more palatable by more direct means.

as an exploring deck, i would defenatly play Buri ghan 3 times ! Just to crack him for his travel action that is really good ! Then play another ^^

His Travel action isn't really that good since Thror's Map does exactly the same thing without discarding. He's in for the .

i still prefer having 2 buri and 1 thor then ^^

I'm with the warden on this one. I'd rather have 2xThror's Map & 1xGhân-buri-Ghân to more reliably find the more reliable travel cost mitigator. There are other willpower options and finding more than 1 unique ally can be a pain if they aren't getting chopped.
