A great support deck for defense, questing, and direct progress on locations. Five strategies built into this deck:

  1. Leadership attachments on Beregond. The Day's Rising and Armored Destrier allow Beregond to defend twice, discard a shadow, generate a resource, and reduce your threat in a single round (can help keep ally Gandalf around for nearly free).

  2. Direct progress on locations by Allies. The group of Lórien Guide, Rhovanion Outrider, and Northern Tracker all place progress on active and staging area locations. If you get 2 or more of them out you can add significant progress to locations each round, especially good in multiplayer.

  3. Resource acceleration and card draw. Arwen Undómiel's ability combined with Elven-light, Beregond's use of The Day's Rising, and Song of Travel on Elfhelm allow for extra resources to pay for expensive allies.

  4. Gandalf and threat reduction. If you can get him out you might even put Gandalf's Staff or Narya on him for an awesome combination. Beregond's ability and Elrond's Counsel, can help reduce the impact of paying the threat cost to keep him around.

  5. Mounts. Putting Windfola on Arwen Undómiel for +2 and Armored Destrier on Elfhelm gives him +1 . Westfold Horse-breeder can help fetch a mount if you don't draw one early.

This deck isn't great at attacking and although some of the expensive allies also have the higher attack values in Spirit, you're probably trying to quest with them most of the time.

I've got a pretty similar deck wich works pretty cool aswell.

Minor changes like, i add double back and send for aid, steed of imladris, and glorfindel + trebeard allies for punchyness.

Good job !

Cheers

Solid deck! Regarding Armored Destrier on Beregond, he's not a hero so the +1 bonus applies to and not .

Interesting deck. Beregond's ability is once per round though, so he won't reduce your threat by 2 even if you ready him for another defence.

Thanks for the comments, i'll make those corrections. I like the idea of using side quests, I had A Very Good Tale in there but took it out for deck space concerns.
