Mustardman 557

Mustardman has a newer deck inspired by this one: Rohan: Pure Series #2

Pure Series:

This is a series of about 10 decks that I made that don’t share any cards with each other. Meaning I can only use Steward of Gondor in one of my 10 decks. This forces me to use different methods of card draw and resource generation.

I have every expansion, but only 1 core set :(

I do include different cards of the same unique character in different decks. (Ex. Haldir of Lórien hero in my Scout deck and Haldir of Lórien ally in my Silvan deck.)

Rohan Deck:

It is very hard to make a good Rohan Deck. My first version had tactics Éowyn and focused mainly on attachments. This version focuses mainly on getting out allies. This deck is better in non-solo.

Card Draw:

The major weakness of this deck is card draw, so you really want to see either Valiant Sacrifice or Ancient Mathom in your opening hand.

Alternate card draw comes from Mustering the Rohirrim and Westfold Horse-breeder, both allowing you to scythe your deck for those key cards you need.

Resources:

Horn of Gondor is amazing in this deck as you will be discarding allies almost every turn, and it is even better in multiplayer. Horn of Gondor combined with Théoden will let you play Rohan allies pretty fast. Horn of Gondor should be attached to whichever sphere you have the most of in your hand.

Defense:

Their is lots of defense in this deck, my favorite being the Grimbold/Gamlingcombo. When you have Grimbold, Gamling, and Horn of Gondor on Éomer you can play Grimbold every turn for only 1 coin!

When you discard Grimbold you get a coin with Horn of Gondor and get him back in your hand with Gamling. Next turn during the planning phase, you can play Grimbold for 1 using Théoden’s ability, the coin you got using Horn of Gondor, and the coin on Éomer that you get during the resource phase. You can then repeat this process every turn, basically turning Grimbold into a 1 costing 2 willpower ally that can quest, can be used as a Feint, and fuels all the discarded effects on Rohan characters.

Other options for defense are Golden Shield, Snowbourn Scout (chump block), Déorwine, Warden of Helm's Deep, and Armored Destrier.

Armored Destrier should be attached to Elfhelm along with Golden Shield in order to turn him into our main defender.

Attack:

Our main attack is Éomer. If we get Firefoot onto Éomer, he will have a decent attack of 6-8 depending on if a character left play that round.
