It is said that Celeborn went to dwell there after the departure of Galadriel; but there is no record of the day when at last he sought the Grey Havens, and with him went the last living memory of the Elder Days in Middle-earth.
-The Lord of the Rings, Prologue

Here is the last in my series of two-hero Strider/Resourceful decks. This is probably the most straight-forward of any of these decks, but thanks to the power of Erestor, it is also the most consistent. As always, the goal is to see Strider and Resourceful in the opening hand, and thanks to the extra cards provided by Erestor the odds are very good that you will see at least one of these cards. With Elrond's Counsel, you can keep your threat in Secrecy range a bit longer, so you should not have an issue getting at least one copy of Resourceful into play.

Strider and the first copy of Resourceful should be attached to Erestor. The most expensive cards in the deck are Lore allies, so we need the extra resources. As with all Noldor discard decks, To the Sea, to the Sea! is as important as resource acceleration. With multiple copies of our uniques, Resourceful, To the Sea, to the Sea! and Arwen Undómiel's ability, we should be able to muster our powerful allies. With a 9 starting threat and excellent willpower, we have a few rounds to get setup.

Aside from the tried and true Noldor strategies, we have Fair and Perilous for Erestor. With at least 4 willpower (it can be more with Protector of Lórien), he will attack for 6 and Strider ensures that he is ready after questing. Light of Valinor is included for thematic reasons more than anything, but it can be used as a backup plan for Strider if that card doesn't show up. Otherwise, Light of Valinor goes on Arwen and she can defend with the aid of Protector of Lorien, or add her meager attack if nothing else.

Harbor master is a fun inclusion, and he not only gets his defense bonus from Arwen Undómiel's ability but also for each copy of Resourceful that we manage to get into play. Until we have Glorfindel or a couple of Guardians of Rivendell in play, this deck can struggle with combat, but the low threat combined with threat reduction should buy us some time to find answers. I must say, this exercise of building two-hero decks has been a welcome diversion from my typical design style and I've discovered some really interesting combinations that I had never considered before. I hope that players enjoy these decks!

@Beorn, I love your deck designs, especially these 2 hero theme decks. Question for you...do you think the addition of Sword-thain would be beneficial to any of your 2-hero decks?

Thanks @Objective! I considered Sword-thain in each of these two-hero decks. While it helps with resources (assuming you get it attached early enough), it hurts your action advantage because Strider's primary effect (not requiring the attached hero to exhaust to quest) shuts off once you have Sword-thain in play.

Ahhh, good point, forgot about that little caveat lol
