So while everyone else was going ahead and building their Scout Ahead Thurindir decks with Rossiel and Mirlonde and victory display manipulation, I was sitting in a corner trying to figure out a good use for Double Back. The result is this fellowship, which looks at first glance like it needs a combat deck but ends up just ditching combat altogether. Except for staging area attacks.

Basically, you pull Double Back with Thurindir turn one and quest with the team. This deck mulligans for The Road Goes Ever On so that it can grab Gather Information once you clear Double Back. That way, this deck can get Unexpected Courage and the companion deck can get some Spears of the Mark for Dunhere. At this point, you have a 4 willpower Thurindir, and Galadriel will keep the deck's threat down in secrecy for the rest of the game, allowing for benefits from cards like Resourceful and Out of the Wild. The other deck keeps its threat down with Merry, slaps a Great Yew Bow on Faramir, and the staging area is filled with the screams of dying Orcs.

After you get this basic setup, you can maybe give Galadriel an Unexpected Courage so she can start using Nenya in addition to her ability. Nasty treacheries can be cancelled with Halfling Bounder or removed entirely with Out of the Wild. Cheap questing allies make sure that the decks don't raise their threat from questing unsuccessfully, and this along with the deck's basic framework holds everything together.

In terms of taking care of the deck itself, card draw is handled by Galadriel and the Mirror/Harp combo, as well as an occasional Daeron's Runes. Resource acceleration is not as necessary, as the deck has a low cost curve, but Resourceful is still included because Lore resources can often be in demand even if Spirit ones pile up. Noiseless Movement can hold pesky low-engagement cost enemies in the staging area. Finally, Treebeard provides emergency combat ability in case it is ever needed.

Enjoy the deck!
