Hello everyone! This is my attempt at coming up with a decent Harad deck. I've beaten a fair number of quests with this version, including Nightmare Assault on Osgiliath and Nightmare Intruders in Chetwood.

Harad is all about the big allies: Firyal, Jubayr and Yazan. Consequently the deck is packed with draw to get those allies into your hand. Then, thanks to Denethor and Gríma, we have a lot of resources and cost reduction to get them onto the table.

In your opening hand, look for Peace, and Thought, Steward of Gondor, and/or Captain's Wisdom. With those cards you can draw 5 at the end of turn 1 and generate a stack of resources to start playing the big guys on turn 2. The slightly slow nature of the deck means that turn 1 can sometimes be a challenge, so in solo it generally works best against scenarios that have a somewhat forgiving early game.

When playing the deck, don't be afraid to exhaust the heroes for the card effects - Denethor is not much of a loss, and Kahliel can be readied with his ability. If you draw a second Peace and Thought after exhausting two heroes, you can pay for the second copy using Grima's ability and by exhausting Kahliel again along with your third hero (as happens in the video I linked above).

For the big allies, you typically want to play Firyal -> Jubayr -> Yazan. If you get Yazan early, don't be afraid to discard him to ready Kahliel or another character as he can always be reshuffled with Kahliel's Headdress. However, your priorities may change depending on the quest—Yazan is great for getting through Stage 1 of Into Ithilien, for example.

The rest of the deck includes a cast of smaller allies to support the big dudes; Faramir for strong questing when combined with Kahliel's Headdress; and Sneak Attack + Gandalf for threat reduction and more draw. It's easy to afford all this stuff with the amount of resource generating cards in the deck. We also have Treebeard (because he's just that good) and a copy of Send for Aid as another option for getting allies onto the table.

In multiplayer, I suggest subbing out Gríma for Pippin or Bifur if he is taken. The Keys of Orthanc can be swapped for Timely Aid (another way to get those allies into play, even if the event is a little expensive), Errand-rider or Deep Knowledge, depending on what your group needs.

Strong deck that ramps up fast! I've used it against several quests and it performs well. I've beaten To Catch an Orc on standard and nightmare and just squeezed out a win against the GENCON Attack in Dol Guldur!
