Deck Tech: Presents under the Treebeard 1.0

Hey everyone,

Chris here with a deck built around opening presents! Like Ancient Mathom and Ranger Provisions, even if food and old junk are maybe not the best gifts.

The deck also contains: a suite of silvan allies (because what's Christmas without elves), Treebeard just so I could use this name, and a fun Faramir combo that doesn't quite come together on video.

Card Choices:

Silvan are an easy include. They're mostly cheap, so we can power them out with Theodred's extra resources, and they have useful abilities when they come into play.

Beorn is just a really fun card, and occasionally worth using Sneak Attack for.

And the Faramir combo! Sword-thain and as many Unexpected Courage as you can pull together. Four extra willpower on all your characters is pretty ridiculous for questing power.

Final Thoughts:

This deck was a ton of fun to play. The draw and resource acceleration felt good, especially when shuffling the attachments back with Galadhrim Weaver. It helps that Emyn Muil is easy, but the quest did not pull too many punches this time around.

And I didn't manage to get the Faramir combo set up in the video. Sword-thain was just too deep in the deck.

But since it was so fun, and the video is short, there'll be another take on the same idea later this week. And maybe it'll come together a little faster.
