In this deck I want to use Erkenbrand's ability to cancel shadow effects, so I need some lore healing. I chose Thurindir but thought about Beravor too. In my opinion Erkenbrand is very underrated.

Erkenbrand is my main defender so he gets the Armored Destrier and the Dúnedain Warning.

Théoden helps with his cost reduction ability and he is also the main attacker, armed with Herugrim and Gúthwinë, which allows to get Rohan allys from the discard pile. With Snowmane he is attacker and quester.

Thurindir is primarily quester, but when you use a Steed of the North and always call for an enemy, he can support Theoden. He also gets the Dúnedain Pipe, so he can swap double unique allys or attachments with new cards. I would always choose Gather Information in the setup to get a copy of Warden of Healing, Gléowine or any essential card that was not in the starting hand.

I agree regarding Erkenbrand. He’s so solid to have in the board from the beginning of a game. I’ve been working on a Rohan sidequest deck but I’ve been resisting Thurindir, but he’s really the way to go.

It’s so hard to give up Eowyn. This looks good and I’m going to give it a try.

100% with you and @The BGamerJoe re: Erkenbrand. Quintessential utility hero who somehow manages to get relegated to niche Rohan build or mono decks...or the binder. Big fan of this build. Kinda want to give it a shot.

I like it. I seldom consider Erkenbrand when I want either a defender or shadow cancellation, and I probably ought to give him more consideration.

Otherwise, this seems a rather standard Rohan build. How do you generally find your resources? I also tend to wonder if the Errand-rider is strictly necessary with The Storm Comes in the deck, although I guess the side quest isn't quite as reliable.

@Onidsen The Errand-riders are needed to spread Thurindir resources. With Théodens ability to reduce the cost of Rohan allys and a additional resource, which he gets from Thurindir, I am able to play every ally the turn I draw him. So all cards have (with the power of Théoden) a maximum cost of 2.

Just smashed The Treachery of Rhudaur with this deck. Those Rider of Rohan are just awesome! #Erkenbrand also did a great job.
