ff0x has a newer deck inspired by this one: Ever present Lords of the Eldar

After having quite a bit of fun with my fellowship of Noldor decks (http://ringsdb.com/fellowship/view/169/noldorian-might) I wanted to see if and how fast I can manage to get to the position that I can play Lords of the Eldar twice per turn, instead of just once which was quite awesome already - and without the help of a companion deck. Which leaves a lot of options for other Noldor to join the adventure and to profit from the constant presence of +2 to , , and .

I started with the premise that I wanted to play two Lords of the Eldar every turn, either one twice or two copies. Just for that I need to generate 6 resources per turn and have draw and discard two cards just to be able to play them again.

For the resources I settled on Steward of Gondor for the first two extra resources and on Arwen Undómiel for the last one. Arwen also takes care of one discard and Círdan the Shipwright lets me draw both and discard one, too. Since I want to get going as quickly as possible, I decided on Erestor on my third hero and match the spheres by playing Song of Travel on him.

The rest of the deck is there to get me to this point and to provide a reasonable number of Noldor allies to reap the profit of all the work. Narya is just another way to buff up and use your army of elves.

So far I have been able to have everything ready in round 5 with no cards left in my deck and Lords of the Eldar played twice. I haven't tried the deck solo and the other player always took care of encounter card cancelation and their share of combat in the beginning. Later on Erestor and Gildor Inglorion can handle most of the defense and the rest of the Noldor usually make sure they don't stay around.

I hope you like the deck and enjoy it as much as I do.

[Update] I moved Light of Valinor to the sideboard and added the 3rd Lords of the Eldar to gain some more control over the top card of my discard. I also added Gaining Strength to get some tempo back after playing Narya. Overall it made the deck a bit more consistent, too.

[Update] Corrected the round number by which everything is set up and running.

Clever concept; I think I'll also try my hand at this idea.

If it didn't take more than 5 turns to say up, I might play it, but usually I'm done or looking to finish a quest at that point. Though it should be quite helpful against quests that generally take longer or that don't punish you for stalling to set up. Overall seems to be very fun and powerful, but I don't want to wait that long to power up.

@sappidus I am glad you like it and wish you lots of fun.

@bzgaming Well, you're not stalling until you get to the point of the recurring Lords of the Eldar. quite often I have Gildor with a Burning Brand in turn 2 or 3. It just takes time to get through the deck.

After some more plays with the deck (2-player - the other player only had Glorfindel, Elrond and Galadriel as Noldor) it seems that playing the first set of Lords of the Noldor usually happens in turn 5. We played various scenarios and it seems to be holding up quite well.

@ff0xGreat deck idea! I think I will try it out. If you are looking to mill your deck quicker you could try Zigil Miner, Emery and/or We Are Not Idle.

@Seastan While milling faster is of course nice, the problem is that some of the cards are rather important and you need to bin the first and sometimes even the 2nd copy to pay for Galdor or Gildor early on.

@ff0xCan confirm! Just gave this a try in solo and it's very nice! It definitely doesn't feel slow.

@Seastan Thanks for the feedback - and positive, too. :D
