Rimogard 282

I haven't really tested this deck a lot, but it's fun and powerful solo from what I've seen so far.

Starting Hand

The main cards to look for in the beginning are:

  • King Under the Mountain
  • Fili, Dwalin, Dwarven Sellswords (dwarves, in general)
  • Well-Equipped (+ Dwarf Pipe, if possible)
  • Captain's Wisdom for Gloin
  • Gandalf + Sneak Attack

Unexpected Courage is also nice to see (so that Dain can do more things), but it's not the end of the world if it doesn't show up immediately. Also, I only have 2 core sets, hence the 2 copies in the deck.

Deck Concept

The main idea (quite standard) is to get your dwarves on the board as soon as possible:

  • Fili brings Kili.
  • It's very satisfying to discard the Ered Luin Miners with King Under the Mountain. It's nice to find some hidden cache as well.
  • Dwalin gets cheap at some point.
  • Later in the game, if you have 3 leadership resources, you can add 3 sellswords for 9 willpower. If you also have Untroubled by Darkness, you can reach monstrous levels of willpower.

Additional Tips

  • Nori lowers threat like a beast, but remember that some dwarves are put into play with this deck, and this won't lower your threat.
  • Use Gloin's passive ability when possible to get more resources.
