Hey everyone,

Chris here with an other heavy Noldor deck, but this time we're not using Erestor. Well, not the hero version, at any rate.

The plan is a bit of Arwen Undómiel voltron, with Protector of Lórien and Elven Spear to boost her stats. And we're going to fuel those discard heavy attachments with Elven-light!

Plus, side effect, we'll get to draw huge chunks of our deck quests and fights like a monster.

Strategy:

The biggest things you're looking for early are Elven-light and Steward of Gondor. The deck skews very heavily toward spending spirit resources, so we want to load up as many of those as we can.

If you don't get either one of those in your opener, Théodred and Arwen Undómiel's discard ability should help you get the resources flowing. There are a lot of cards that are just not essential, even if they're really nice to play off the top of the deck with Gandalf.

Speaking of Gandalf, we've got a little bit of a Gandalf package, but I wasn't really interested in spending a ton of card slots on them. Wizard Pipe is by far the most important, since it helps you play expensive spirit cards off the top of the deck, and it makes it possible to play the lore and tactics cards in the deck.

You should also definitely remember that Gandalf's ability is once per phase, so you can use him in the planning phase to play an ally or an attachment, and then follow it up with Daeron's Runes in the quest phase. Or even during the Combat phase, while you're cycling Elven-light to boost up Arwen's stats.

Galadhrim Weaver is also a nice tech card with Gandalf, because she'll shuffle your deck, revealing a (hopefully) new top card! Just be sure the cards you're shuffling back in are cards you're willing to see again. Daeron's Runes is great for this, as is Elrond's Counsel. Your extra copies of Light of Valinor and Steward of Gondor are less useful.

Video Thoughts:

As always, you can find this week's video on youtube: here!

You probably can't tell the difference in the video at all, but I've made some improvements to my setup! I finally realized the lights I've been using have multiple color modes, which saves me from some obnoxious setup in OBS. And I got a tripod for the webcam, so I can keep it more consistently in the same place!

As for the actual gameplay, I forgot how quick Blood of Gondor could go. I was only in round 7 by the time the game ended, thanks to Narya and Elven Spear being able to boost my battle questing.

It's probably a good thing, honestly, because I was about to have to fight the Black Numenorean if I hadn't won. And I still hadn't seen any of the healing in my deck.

But it did mean that I wasn't able to cycle Elven-light as much as I would have in a longer quest. I was glad of that while editing the video, but it was basically what I promised myself. Elven-light hell.

This is also almost completely irrelevant, but I like how cute Blood of Gondor is on some of the cards. Evil Crow is kind of adorable, and the face that's been drawn on The Cross-roads makes me laugh.

That's it from me this week. Thanks for watching!
