My first attempt at a self built deck. I bought a lot of cards in a short time and these three seemed like they had some fun toys to add in as the start of a decent deck. I've only tried this a few times so I don't have much too concrete yet.
Any of Gandalf 's toys are nice to have. The earlier the better. Stick Steward of Gondor on Gandalf to pay for his shenanigans along with Keys of Orthanc. I think the doomed mechanics are a fun push your luck to help accelerate the board state. There are some good combos with the Isengard Messenger and using Gríma's ability. From what I've found so far questing is decent but any serious combat is beyond this deck. A fun first experiment.
