- I've always wanted, since i saw him, to build a Thurindir deck for solo play. And i think, from my experience with this deck, i finally found a combo that can be good for solo play. It's version 2, because in my first version, i had Galadriel instead of Arwen. It's works well also, but in quests where you have the time to stay in stage one, no timing and no big stating threat gathering in the first rounds.
- The ideea is very simple i think, it's nothing very spectacular about it. There ar the cards for Thurindir, that means the side quests, the The Road Goes Ever On, The Long Defeat, Wingfoot, Legacy Blade. Also Henamarth Riversong for the Wingfoot's response. Arwen Undómiel is there for questing and for her action to discard cards and that's why Elven-light is there.
- The next thing is Elrond. He's there for his Vilya action, that's why there are so many high cost allies in the deck, also Imladris Stargazer for the control of what you are puting into play whit Elrond and Vilya, and also he's here as a defender. Steward of Gondor on him, Gondorian Shield, Ent Draught and A Burning Brand. Also, the two copies of Unexpected Courage. I always put 2 copies, as Henamarth also, because i have two copies of core sets and i like to play with what i have.
- This deck is simple i think, but it's fun because it goes arround Thurindir in combination with Elrond's abilities.
- Also, if you want to play with 50 cards sharp, you cand get out the two copies of Song of Wisdom, Ioreth, one copy of Gondorian Shield and Ent Draught. It goes well like this also, but i don't think that there's a point, because there is Elrond+Vilya, Elven Light, Heed the Dream. In 9-10 rounds all cards are drawn already.
