The BGamerJoe 4845

I used this deck with Mr Underhill’s Legolas/Great Yew Bow deck to defeat The Fords of Isen on nightmare mode. You can find the video of the game here. We found he staging area attack strategy effective here since the enemies have nasty effects that trigger off engaging you or scale off the number of cards in the engaged player’s hand. If you never engage them, they aren’t too bad.

This is a fairly straightforward Haldir/Trap deck which aims to avoid all engagment and pick off enemies in the staging area. Look for a trap and a Ranger Spear in your opening hand, then trap, kill and recycle!

Anborn and the Erebor Hammersmith keep the traps cycling and the Miner of the Iron Hills is there to calm the Wild Men of Dunland’s Old Hatreds.

The Guardian of Ithilien can help pick away at enemies with the Ranger Bow which increases Haldir’s effectiveness and the Wandering Ent functions as a backup defender if an enemy happens to come down.

This deck benefits from the parter deck’s threat reduction, high willpower and Tactics weapons (wow, now I feel lame!), but it can usually contribute 5-10 to the quests, negate the first enemy’s threat and kill off an enemy or two.

This deck has been optimized for this particular quest by bringing the overall resource curve down so you can play most of the cards that come into your hand and taking out additional card draw effects that would otherwise be obvious (Mithrandir's Advice, Daeron's Runes etc).

Enjoy and thanks for reading!

Thanks for sharing the build. I'm working on an all-Lore deck and will use this as inspiration.
