This deck was a combination of two major play-styles: traps and Haldir of Lórien. The purpose of the deck was to have Haldir clean up enemies in the staging area and engaged with other players while using traps and other cards (ie Legolas) to pick up the slack in other areas.

On the trap front we have Damrod to not only make them a little easier on our resources but to provide us a nice little draw engine. The typical suite of traps is included and ideally you want something like Ranger Spikes or Ambush in your opening hand to help mitigate an quickly aggressive encounter deck.

Anborn and Erebor Hammersmith help us fetch our traps back after they've done their dirty deeds. While the traps are out Forest Patrol can finish off an enemy that's been lingering in the staging area but about to come down.

There's also a whole slew of weapons included to make Haldir and/or Legolas very powerful. For fun I've decided to add 2 copies of Keeping Count with the hope that Haldir can wrack up some early game kills and make Legolas powerful without the use of several attachments.

Currently I have tried it paired with my Mono Spirit Gandalf Deck (here: http://ringsdb.com/decklist/view/691/mono-spirit-gandalf-2.0) to somewhat decent results. Despite being Mono-Spirit the deck doesn't have the strongest early turns when it comes to questing and only gets going after about turn 3 or 4 (which can be too late for certain quests).

The deck is in its early testing phases and most certainly is not meant for solo play. Being in Lore/Tactics there are few ways to keep enemies from coming down to us once our threat rises. It may be best to have this deck partnered with a Hobbit Questing deck (making use of Pippin) or some other deck that can not only quest but can take on the brunt of enemies if need be. All joking aside many of the popular Boromir builds may work really well with this type of deck.
