Description

Four decks for the Murder at the Prancing Pony scenario, which I've never got anywhere near beating, partly because I haven't had the card pool available until recently, and partly because I'm just not very good at deck-building. Hence the outrageous levels of cheating here, in the form of copying and adapting the four decks featured in the Team Covenant playthrough (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hk6xX0O1VeA). This is the first time I've actually looked through the quest before deck-building, and I'm hoping it's led to some better decisions than I'd normally make by just trying to adapt an existing deck after wiping horrifically a few times.

The Dunedain deck is going to be the tank, drawing all of the enemies away from everyone else. The Gandalf and Rossiel decks are going to be focused on questing, at least until Shadowfax emerges. The Big G deck is also responsible for healing. The Elvish Weapons deck is pretty much a ranged dps deck, which should also be able to load up a few of the others. DĂșnedain Warning and DĂșnedain Remedy are hopefully going to be bouncing around a fair bit as well.

As of this post, our own playthrough is still a few hours away.

Update - glorious success! Completed in the 9th round for a final score of 241, in case anyone else counts. Clutch plays were using West Road Traveller to whip Market Square out of the staging area for Legolas to deal with it, hitting the next Market Square with The Door is Closed!, Hour of Wrath in valour mode to let Elrohir take five attacks and then let Elladan and Legolas go on a preposterous killing spree. Also a very timely Grim Resolve that let us quest for 52 against less than 10 threat.

Good times were had.
