The Four Horsemen of the Bropocalypse

Description

We like synergy. Not in the corporate sense of the word, but...okay well it's EXACTLY like that. This set of decks features a fairly well thought out combination of effects--some self contained to each deck, many fellowship-wide. All of this is with the intent to tackle ALL of the scenarios in the game with as little to no editing/sideboarding as possible.

Keystone: We like the idea of abusing the amazing effects of Elfhelm for a fully-mounted fellowship of heroes. As such, we tend to rely on the liberal use of attachments to transform our heroes into legendary beings of questing, defending, and mass destruction.

Conquest utilizes the strengths of Rohan in collecting many powerful mounts and applying them liberally to heroes (mostly for questing power). As the deck, it also serves to counter nasty

Famine and War complete a handshake of attachments to create powerful combat-oriented heroes (with a splash of questing help from Famine).

The ironically-named Death seeks to keep the fellowship alive and well supplied via healing, card draw, and utility buffing (A Burning Brand, Thror's Map, etc.).

Finally, we use the Song attachments to grant additional spheres to heroes in order to double up (and sometimes triple up) on Elfhelm's buffs.

[Editing still in process--will add more details about deck interactions]

Some nice combos there, look forward to reading more about the intended interactions. Curious have you had a chance to playtest it yet? The lack of allies would make me nervous - sometimes you gotta chump.

@HootsFromEreborThanks for the comment -- I actually created these from memory, so there will be some edits once I get a chance to sit down with the actual decks. We've been playing with versions of this setup for a few months (maybe a dozen scenarios), but it's been a series of iterations to get to this stage. Chump blocking isn't usually a problem given the availability of strong defenders, ample healing effects (amplified by Elrond), and a fairly efficient ally return with Gamling and cheap replay with Théoden. Effects that remove heroes from the quest and destroy attachments are frustrating, but rarely quest-endangering.
