Last Host of the Firstborn v3

Description

Updated Fellowship with changes to both decks. Glorfindel has stepped down from hero status and is now a key ally in the decks instead. Galdor of the Havens has replaced him and the decks are now even stronger and more efficient.

Breakdown to come.

Did you find Asfaloth to be worth it when you only get to place 1 progress?

Hey Seastan! Not really and I actually removed him from this particular lineup shortly after publishing this deck and replaced him with something more handy/reliable. That being said I just recently included a copy of Asfaloth in my new decks which also do not feature Glorfindel hero (but do run the ally version). These new decks however have Legolas hero and Northern Trackers and I find that Asfaloth even without Glorfindel combos really nicely with both of these cards. Legolas + Asfaloth can clear any active location during the combat phase with 3 or less progress points (there are actually tons of locations with 3 quest points in the game) and Asfaloth helps Northern Tracker clear locations in staging much faster and more efficiently. Essentially I only think he is worth running/including without Glorfindel hero if you have other location control cards that he can combine with and improve. Thanks for your interest in the decks dude!

What about the new Rhovanion Outrider? Have you tried those out?

I actually haven't. I try to make as few thematic concessions as possible so an ally with the Dale trait in Elf/Three Hunters decks would probably bug me to no end haha.

That being said they are great alternatives to Northern Tracker. They cost 1 less, still place progress on locations in staging (but only one at a time which can sometimes be beneficial as there might be locations you don't want to place progress on) and can both attack and quest with the same stats as NT. The Outriders actually have higher willpower if they don't clear the location with their effect as well so may even have a slight edge over the NT. Hmmmm I may just have to trial this change now!

They are "outriders" after all - maybe there is a thematic reason for them to be so far from Dale :)
