These three heroes are so good together. Mablung gets a resource, Fastred sends them back and lowers your threat, Dunhere smacks them silly.
Fastred gets Windfola + Golden Shield, you also have Desperate Defense if needed for bigger blows (or Necklace of Girion if you need a sustainable source of really big blocks), and in a pinch you can Doom Henneth Annun Guard to give Fastred +2 shields.
Dunhere gets Spear of the Mark + Firefoot or Rohan Warhorse, usually determined by whatever you draw first, but you can discard one for the other if it suits the scenario.
Mablung gets whatever's left (and not unique), usually a Steed of the Mark
Gandalf is usually a threat reducer even though you'll have low threat with Fastred, because you want to control who engages and when so you can just cycle them to feed Mablung and let Dunhere pick them off.
This deck doesn't do anything special or generate fireworks, save for Charge of the Rohirrim if you want to wipe away a few enemies in one go. It's stable and solid, and is about exerting control as much as possible.

It isn't the strongest at questing, and I made a few tweaks today, I'll have to update the deck after I replace the Desperate Defense anyway. Changes I made today: -1 Charge of the Rohirrim -1 Henneth Annun Guard -1 Windfola -1 Spear of the Mark +1 Gamling +1 Glorfindel +1 Snowmane +1 Open the Armory I'm open to ideas too, maybe Unexpected Courage in place of Desperate Defense? |
Desperate Defense only works for a sentinel character though. Maybe include some attachment to give Fastred sentinel? Also it looks like the deck does not have too much readying effect, and can lag behind in terms of questing power, but will need some playtesting to say for sure.
