I have been wanting to make a Firefoot deck for a while that does not use Éomer. I decided Grimbeorn the Old was a great target.

With the boost from Elfhelm Grimbeorn gets +2 from the mount. Add in Orcrist and he is attacking for 7 with a -2 if you use his ability after defending. That means you should be able to defend a weak or wounded enemy and trample another.

To pay for Grimbeorn's ability I have three copies of The Day's Rising. Assuming you do not take any damage (helped by Honour Guard, Arwen Undómiel, and a couple other cards), you gain a resource after defending. Spend that resource to kill/trample 2 enemies and then gain a resource from Orcrist.

Questing is handled by Éowyn with Windfola and Necklace of Girion which allow her to have 8 plus her ability to gain one more.

Elfhelm can ride Snowmane, Gandalf can help as needed, and Beorning Skin-changer will enable some Giant allies to enter play.

This is a fun deck to smash quests with lots of weak enemies and can definitely help in a multiplayer game.

Would it be legal to put Song of Battle, Song of Kings, or Song of Travel onto a hero and get multiple bonuses from Elfhelm? Does playing a song card make them that hero, especially since it doesn't say "printed"? I am guessing that is what you plan on doing with Song of Kings?

@bdavis96you are correct. Because he does not specify 'printed' Songs will work. Like you spotted, the one copy of Song of Kings is basically +1 defense.

I really like the theme of this deck! I can imagine the Boernings and Rohirrim joining forces.

Do you think this Might possibly work as with the Forth The Three Hunters contract? Cutting out the allies and swapping in more restricted attachments seem reasonable, but I'm not experienced enough to know if there's enough readying/action advantage...

Seems pretty fun. Have you found that you’re a bit over-reliant on Sneak+Gandalf for draw?

@bento this is EXACTLY the type of deck you could modify into a 3 hunters deck. As eldub points out, card draw is lacking. By dropping the allies I think you could put in perhaps Eleven Light, Open the Armory, or other cards I am not thinking of right now.
