Trialling a deck to take on the dreamchaser box which I've had around for a few months and not got into yet.

Taking the sailing theme as a start I of course used both hero's from the box in Cirdan and Galdor. I was tempted to use Glorfindel from the core set as well just to use either to quest or attack as needed but was worried the threat might be to high to start out.

Instead I splashed in Bifur another recent acquisition from the Khazad Dum box I also managed to pick up who I haven't tried yet. Questing shouldn't be an issue as Cirdan is strong as are the others. Combat is definitely a weakness so I included a chunk of attachments which may or may not prove useful. Things like a burning brand, Glamdring, and protector of Lorien. But also several strong allies.

Gandalf of course, a copy of haldir and gildor. To the sea might help get them in cheaper. Otherwise narya can bolster allies as well and of course give me leadership access hence the inclusion of steward of gondor plus sneak attack. I included an erebor guard partly as he has a decent defence and partly I liked the idea of Bifur having an escort for the mission. The navigator and sailor were included for thematic reasons. Northern tracker and lorien guides I rarely leave behind anyway.

Then there is a small contingent of Rohan with elfhelm again strong defence and attack, plus a West road travelled good questing to help with quest and sailing tests. A bunch of other elves to, daughter of nimrodel for healing, henamarth for scying, mirkwood runner for more combat potential hitting at three with no defence might be interesting.

Finally the deck is finished with some woodmen allies in forest traveller and mirkwood hunter. Travellers could be sailing somewhere I think and woodmens clearing is there to buff the forest traveller and reduce the cost of the hunter. Explorers almanac for a similar reason and finally a copy of song of travel just to maybe help cirdan with spirit resources if needed.

The deck should be able to handle questing and tests, there's threat reduction, treachery cancellation, healing scying ect all included to. The main issue will be combat especially early on if I don't get things like narya out early.
