Dunhere fits well into a mono- setup for (to quest past enemies in the staging area) and threat reduction/A Light in the Dark (to keep them there). Except he also wants access to for Spear of the Mark and/or for Dúnedain Mark. Solution: Gandalf! Merry means that even with the wizard in our corner we can stay under most engagement costs, and Gandalf can play the non- cards off the top of the deck while still being able to contribute to the cards as well.
