Kertyvaen 2
Made to try to beat all of the Mirkwood adventure packs. I am working with all cards up to A Journey to Rhosgobel. This is for solo play.
Starting threat of 28 with The Galadhrim's Greeting might be low enough for Conflict at the Carrock. The three heroes have a combined Willpower of 8, which should be enough to beat the location-heavy quests, especially when Faramir helps. Silverlode Archer and Lore of Imladris are here almost exclusively for Rhosgobel. Having a lot of expensive cards, 2 Song of Wisdom will be of use. Steward of Gondor probably goes on Éowyn with Song of Wisdom but might go on Beravor in a bind. Unexpected Courage almost always goes on Beravor as she will do most of the defense and attacking work. Ancient Mathom provides a lot of card draw with this much Willpower, and can be triggered by Snowbourn Scout and Northern Tracker in a bind. Miner of the Iron Hills, Hasty Stroke, A Test of Will provide much needed protection against a lot of things that the encounter deck can throw at us.
Interesting interactions include :
- Discarding additional copies of Steward of Gondor to Éowyn, then using Erebor Hammersmith's effect to get them back and reuse them.
- The usual Sneak Attack/Gandalf combo.
- Snowbourn Scout and Northern Tracker working together to avoid traveling to problematic locations.
- Dwarven Tomb can retrieve a lot of our situationally powerful cards, allowing us to use A Test of Will much more liberally, for example.
