Pure Series:

I realized that my original Pure Series has become out of date, so I've remade many (if not all) of my decks.

This is a series of about 10 decks that I made that don’t share any cards with each other. Meaning I can only use Steward of Gondor in one of my 10 decks. This forces me to use different methods of card draw and resource generation.

I only use heroes that fit the theme or archetype of the deck.

I do include different cards of the same unique character in different decks. (Ex. Haldir of Lórien hero in my Scout deck and Haldir of Lórien ally in my Silvan deck.)

Location Control Deck:

This deck is a support deck that helps out everyone on the table. Therefore, it is not designed to be played solo.

Opening Hand:

Really any hand is a good hand opening hand in this deck. And with Galdor of the Havens you can pick and choose which cards you want to keep. Early on I would be looking for attachments you can throw on locations, but if you've got a A Test of Will, I'd keep that too.

Resources:

You really got no extra resources here, which is why there is not a single card that costs more than 2 resources!

Card Draw:

This deck goes crazy with card draw if you play it right. From the first turn, you are looking to make use of Galdor of the Havens's Draw 6 ability. It'll usually take you 2-3 turns to get rid of all the cards in your hand. The general strategy is to use everything in your hand that's not an attachment and then play all of your attachments down on locations in order to draw 6. Then when you explore the active location Haldan lets you draw more! I'll usually find myself drawing 6 from Galdor of the Havens and at least 4 from Haldan on the same turn. After that, you are set for the rest of the game and usually try to give your Ancient Mathoms to other players to help out.

Multiplayer:

Whether it's Elf-stone, Woodmen's Clearing, or Ancient Mathom you are always helping out the other players. Along with A Test of Will and Thrór's Key/Thror's Map taking care of the particular nasty treacheries or locations. You've even got Put Off Pursuit for enemies! Elf-stone + Put Off Pursuit work well with Woodmen's Clearing as the extra quest points they add to the location get negated.

Allies:

Mirkwood Hunter is nice, especially early on when you are trying to activate Galdor of the Havens - you can usually get him to cost 0 relatively quickly. Erebor Hammersmith revives attachments so make sure you are paying attention to the order in which you discard them.

Overall this deck may not put forth tons of willpower or be a battling machine, but it does have a way of canceling key encounter cards while boosting its teammates throughout the game.

Thanks!

I have noticed you have included elf stone but not a single elf, Thor's key and Thor's map but excluded putting Thor in the deck. OUTRAGEOUS! Where is your respect for thematic gameplay. As a LOTRLCG addict I very disappointed by some of the cards put in this deck :(

@LOTRLCD: what is this "D" that is part of your namesake? Derision, Distraction, Diversion? (I jest too)

@Quetzal513 Actually LOTRLCD stand for Lord Of The Rings: Lets CKill Dem (referring to the enemies) I don't quite understand how derision, distraction or diversion would fit on the end, that just seems silly

@LOTRLCD- Not A Game; Its A Lifestyleoh they're not very good suggestions, just something I was trying to come up with on the fly, since games can be a bit of a distraction from real life. However you're operating on another plane with 'C' standing in for CKill; that's mind bending stuff, you have a bright future ahead of you :D

I would argue the game is not a distraction from life but is my life (as posted on Beorning Eagles: Pure Series #2; Being a LOTR fanatic (by fanatic I mean I literally do nothing else but eat and sleep"). I know it can be hard to fully comprehend the genius of inventing a new spelling of the word Ckill, as you said, "mind bending".
