A thematic-ish journey through the Dwarrowdelf Cycle.

Days after Arwen arrives back in Rivendell, a bedraggled Aragorn limps across the Last Bridge, to the amazement of those who thought him lost on the journey over the Misty Mountains. But a fortuitously positioned snowdrift saved him from his fall off the path, and he was able to drag himself to safety.

Lord Elrond's skill heals his wounds in record time, but there is no rest for the Dunedain. Orc presence has risen at the foot of the mountains, and Elrond sends him to investigate.

By happy coincidence, Dwarves from Erebor are making a special visit to Rivendell, for a reunion with one Bilbo Baggins [in the other deck!], on the anniversary of the quest for Erebor. Balin in particular jumps at the mere mention of Moria, so the company joins Aragorn on his quest.

The Watcher's many tentacles penalise players for attacking them, so this deck is built around defending against multiple enemies at once. Guardian of Arnor typically gets a good buff to , Longbeard Sentry can defend for 3, and sentinel, at the drop of 2 cards, and of course Citadel Plate and Ring Mail allow a hero to join in the defence. Balin has built in shadow-cancellation, or if all else fails allies such as Honour Guard, Veteran Axehand and Guard of the Citadel can be chump-blockers.

These decks are designed to make either win-condition possible, and this deck in particular does have the firepower to best the Watcher itself if needed. The combination of Steward of Gondor and Parting Gifts can funnel resources to a hero in need as well.
