Apr 07, 2020why not 1-2 Support of the Eagles? |
Apr 07, 2020Good idea, I thought about Support of the Eagles, but everything else seemed more essential... What would you replace? |
Apr 07, 20201-2 landroval, or 1-2 protector of lorien (or one of both), with support he can defend well enough and for discarding elvenlight, arwen is enough? |
This is my first and most-tweaked deck. In this form, it works very well in most scenarios, there is enough card draw to get the eagle and discard engines going and have some great fun interactions.
Arwen & Aragorn make a powerful pair to accompany Radagast and Gwaihir. Arwen will mostly discard to give Aragorn a resource for more eagles, but sometimes she will also take the spirit resource to bestow him with Unexpected Courage, renew the Tale of TinĂºviel or shed some Elven-light.
Consider putting in some scenario-specific cards (e.g., condition removal), maybe replacing the Riddermark's finest. You can fetch for those cards with Word of Command if none of your most important engine cards (mainly Radagast's Staff, The Eagles are Coming) are missing. Another valiant ally worth considering for high-damage scenarios is the Noble Hound.
