claudinko 1

claudinko has a newer deck inspired by this one: Are you ready?

This deck is all about readying heroes and allies. Steward of Gondor goes on Aragorn, that can then use one of the extra resources to get ready after questing. Light of Valinor obviously goes on Glorfindel. The 3 heroes alone can quest for 7, Faramir and a couple of allies would make this deck quite good at questing. And, with the sacrifice of a Snowbourn Scout, in the same turn the 3 heroes can attack for 9. Thread reduction, healing and defense are lacking in this deck. Healing is not that necessary, assigning damage to chump blockers is a better option with Prince Imrahil in play. Actually, Imladris can also be used as a chump blocker. When not many cheap defenders are in play, Hama is there to protect the heroes. Thread reduction may be an issue, maybe The Galadhrim's Greeting can replace some of the events. 21 cards cost 0 or 1 resource. 33 cards cost 2 or less resources. Gandalf is used with Sneak Attack. Resource generation might not be a problem.

Version 2 With The Galadhrim's Greeting we have some thread reduction. Celebrían's Stone will help Aragorn to play Spirit cards and also compensate the fact that I have reduced the number of Faramir cards, in terms of chances to draw good questing cards. Stand and Fight has been squeezed in as well. What I miss is the capability to do big damage with a single character, in case the attack is restricted to a single character.

Version 3 Updated for a single core set. Some treachery/shadow cancellation added. W.r.t. version 2, the average cost of the cards has been slightly reduced, such as the number of spirit cards. This will make it easier to pay for playing cards in case Unexpected Courage does not show up. A Very Good Tale is super cool when then you can use Ever Vigilant.
