I thought it might be fun to take a look at the new starter decks and see how I might try to upgrade them, using only cards from the Revised Core set and the four starter decks themselves. Some of these decks could be played together still, while others (primarily Dwarf - Gondor and Gondor - Rohan) do use some of the cards from other starter decks, so you wouldn't be able to build all four of my "upgraded decks" at once. This would primarily be a way for a solo player, or 2p group, to start slowly deckbuilding by making some small changes to the existing decks while trying to keep the overall idea of the deck the same.

The dwarf deck here seemed like a very natural place to swap out Bifur for the other hero included in the pack, Nori. Nori, Ori, Dain is one of the most classic dwarf lineups that exist, and being able to include a few of the Spirit cards here will make this deck much more consistent than the pure Lore-Leadership version that came prebuilt.

I opted to keep as much of the Mining (discarding cards from the top of the deck) synergy as possible, just to try to keep it as similar to the original deck as I could while still throwing in some upgrades. Filii and Kili are no brainers, especially being able to utilize them with A Very Good Tale. I did drop Steward of Gondor in from the core, it might not be totally necessary, but with Narvi's Belt it should be able to keep this flood of Dwarves going and allow for the Zigil Miner to just be some nice, cheap questing allies.

Neat deck! I totally agree on Fili and Kili . They are stupid good and it blew me away when they weren't in the default deck for the Dwarves.

i use this deck i like it a lot i did some minor adjustments so i added max kili and fili and max ered luin miner. however i never tend to use a very good tale i dont see this as such an useful card or i dont know hom to use it properly. I am wondering something, what deck would fit good besides this as playing 2 handed? im thinking about thalin, dwalin and bifur as heroes or something with the minig and the dwarves and gandalf but i dont know about the rest of the deck anyone ideas for a second deck to play 2 handed that compliments this deck?

so thalin, dwalin and bifur seem to be the best or either a combination of gandalf as hero and some tactic dwarf and somthing else. please help me out so i can play 2 handed dwarf. Conflict at the carrok seems to be not possible 1 handed.

Why not add 3 Sneak attacks when you already have Gandalf 3 times in the deck. I think its one of the strongest combos in game.
