Ageolite 48

Ageolite has a newer deck inspired by this one: An unlikely team? Forth, The Three Hunters!

I just wanted to see if I can make Legolas deck, his ability sounded interesting, so the hero Erestor came to my mind. When selecting a third hero, I was not too sure which direction to go, I could see Gimli as an option, but in the end I decided to mix things up with Gandalf. Whom I got only shortly before this deck was made.

As always, I only one a single core set and I play solo.

Hero line up:

Erestor is the main defender, he is in sphere with A Burning Brand and can wear Cloak of Lórien. He also fits for the ALeP Gift of Foresight. Plus he is the primary target for Arwen Undómiel ability. I tend to put the single copy of Unexpected Courage on him. Just in case I need to defend two attacks.

Legolas is the main attacker, but he helps to quest with help from Light of Valinor and Mirkwood Long-knife, which increases his willpower, making him decent. His ability redies usually Gandalf, although I do occassionaly ready Erestor.

Gandalf usually does what needs to be done, he can quest and Legolas can ready him. Get Shadowfax on him and he can ready after defense if needed to help attack. Or Shadowfax can be used to ready him after Narya is used. Narya targets are usually Elladan and Elrohir or Glorfindel or Gildor Inglorion. Plus Gildor Inglorion is in sphere for A Burning Brand and can have Cloak of Lórien. Making him a good secondary defender.

Good opening hand would be Gandalf's Staff but Wizard Pipe works as well, and some card which are cheap - like Light of Valinor or Ioreth or the Elven Jeweler.

Since Gandalf lets you see the top card of the deck, I though Zigil Miner would work with him well, because you know the top card of the deck. And with Wizard Pipe you can even change it for something else you may want to play, but slightly short on resources. With Zigil Miner I included Hidden Cache and Ered Luin Miner and I play 2 or 3 copies of it, hence additional on in sideboard.

As there are lot of Elves in the deck, primarily Noldor, I included single copy of Lords of the Eldar and I used it by now few times.

For healing I selected Ioreth since she is free and I can get resource to Erestor either from Zigil Miner or the Gandalf's Staff. Second healer is Imladris Caregiver for few reasons, this is not a Noldor deck, so I do not use To the Sea, to the Sea! and may have spare cards, also he has more than single hit point, so he can quest and survive Necromancers Reach or Treacheries dealing damage to each ally (unlike Ioreth . Plus if he is discarded, he can be put to play from discard with the help of Wandering Spirit. I tried this card in Noldor decks and love it. Arwen Undómiel can also be put into play with it, if you lose her.

Some notes about sideboard:

Ered Luin Miner and Hidden Cache is there if I feel I can use 3 copies. The Galadhrim's Greeting if the quest raises your threat a lot, but generally speaking, I tend to be fine with the Elrond's Counsel.

Finally Bow of the Galadhrim I though I would add as a multiplayer option, potentially. I never played multiplayer.

@NERD Thank you! I actually had this deck for months, but finally felt brave enough to publish it :-) And wanted to explain some cards like Imladris Caregiver which I do not see play that often and explain why I picked it up over a more traditional Warden of Healing.
