Premise
For a thematic deck running Elladan and Elrohir, their sister Arwen Undómiel was the logical choice for the third hero. She also feeds into their ability quite nicely, with flexible resource generation. Forth, The Three Hunters! was furthermore a very logical choice to further save resources for the ability of Elladan and Elrohir.
How To Play
Especially in solo, you start out with subpar questing. That means I try to see as much willpower early on as possible or Elven-light (which is always fantastic in your opening hand no matter the player mode) to at least not stagnate overly much. From there on, play the attachments where there are meant to go (which should be fairly obvious in most cases), target a quick contract flip for healing and additional willpower.
Considerations
Glamdring and The King's Return are very good options in higher player counts, to turn Elladan into an absolute attacking machine. In higher player counts, including Rivendell Bow as well as more copies of Elven Mail is crucial and the fast need for willpower often takes a back seat behind the combat focus. Steward of Gondor (mostly for Arwen Undómiel and draw in solo, for Elrohir and more actions in multiplayer) makes the deck a LOT better, however it isn't exactly thematic, so I only put it in the sideboard. Unexpected Courage never hurts and is great for multiplayer in particular, as well as quests requiring lots of actions (e.g. for tests).
Enjoy!!!

Aug 07, 2025Thought about it but decided against. Arwen and Elladan don't really need more than 3 resteicted slots anyways, Elrohir in solo doesn't either. It is only in MP where Golden Belt would be really beneficial, and there I found it a little hard to work in, given that games tend to be shorter while draw is the main weakness of the deck. I therefore wanted to maximize the amount of restricteds and draw to flip. It does have usage in longer quests/quests that tax you in terms of restricted hate, so I would have included it in the sideboard for sure had I allowed myself more than 5 options there. |
Nice deck, just one curious thing, none Golden Belt ?
