For the current Card of the Day in the COTR server, Elrond, I have built a deck to use him to full capacity: The Last Alliance between Dwarves and Healers allows me to play To me! O my kinsfolk! on him, but he can also be cheated in using Sneak Attack or being played normally.
Your main (and hopefully only) healing target in the deck is Glóin who you equip with Well Preserved, 3 Spare Pipes and Boots from Erebor, as well as King Under the Mountain and Narvi's Belt + Let Us Sing Together to not exhaust to quest.
If Well Preserved and your Healer allies are enough to keep Glóin stable while taking undefended attacks, which should be the case for most games, you can use Elrond for tons of draw around the table, or the occasionally needed condition removal. Due to a lot of Lore cards in the deck, I have included Magic Ring for Ori. (Didn't choose steward because someone else can play it then)

And yeah, I always forget these random ally-hero uniqueness. I had Stand and Fight in for previous versions of the deck, and never really was able to use it. |
Feb 14, 2026it might even worth including the very rare used (specially in multiplayer) The Houses of Healing |
nice use of To me! O my kinsfolk! and Elrond!
would include Ring of Barahir with The One Ring it is worth 2 hp on gloin.
you cannot use Glóin if you use the hero
with Narvi's Belt arounf it might be usefull taking Stand and Fight but i am not sure
