But no mirrors. I play card games a lot but am relatively new to this one. Gandalf is my favorite character, and I really wanted to make a deck with him. I will make changes as I go along, but this can smash Mirkwood(as I said I'm new :)). The goal of this deck is to remove so much threat from yourself that you never have to engage an enemy that you don't want to. You want to get Wizards Pipe, Bilbo, and both Hobbit Pipes out as soon as possible so you can start your engine. I place Steward of Gondor on Eowyn. Favor of the Lady also goes on her. Power in the Earth goes on whatever you don't want to travel to. The Merry hero is absolutely busted. I use him almost every turn to remove threat, and Hobbit Pony is in there in case I don't get an enemy. Fortune or Fate is for the big Flame of Anor on Gandalf, so you need to time it right. Unexpected Courage also goes on Gandalf. Wandering Took is just a great ally. Messenger Raven is slick as you can always tell what the top of your deck is. Smoke Rings and Galadhrim's Greeting are for your threat, and Dwarven Tomb puts those right back in your hand. After a few of those are in discard, play Will of the West to get them back in your deck. I also sometimes use it if I need to reset a chain of bad draws. Most other allies are in here for chump blocking, but NEVER RISK BILBO UNLESS YOU HAVE TO! He can have a Hobbit Pipe which is more threat removal and draw. I think I covered everything I need to? Hope this deck works and is fun!
I would advise creating a 'sideboard' tailored for certain matchups. This deck doesn't do well against enemy attachments, so #miner of the iron hills. Maybe something for early game attack & defense, too.
