Basic premise is four points.

  1. Vilya / Wizard Pipe combo to get high cost Eagles in to play for free.
  2. Support of the Eagles and Eagles of Misty Mountains used to create highly stacked and .
  3. Radagast aiding with resources, readying and healing.
  4. Glorfindel brings low threat, free questing, Asfalof progression and pays for spirit event cards.

Deck also has many staples seen in popular Gandalf/Elrond/Glorfindel Decks but adds in Eagles for its allies & Radagast as a handy extra.

Breakdown of card use:

Gandalf with Wizard Pipe, Gandalf's Staff and Shadowfax

Radagast with Wizard Pipe and Radagast's Staff

Elrond with Vilya, A Burning Brand and Unexpected Courage to refresh after Vilya

Glorfindel with Light of Valinor and Asfaloth

Song of Battle to allow for Support of the Eagles on Eldrond and Glorfindel

Another Support of the Eagles for Gandalf can played from top of deck.

Eagles of the Misty Mountains improved by discarded Winged Guardian and Vassal of the Windlord being attached face down

Landroval for peace of mind

Gildor Inglorion and Imladris Stargazer plus Heed the Dream and Word of Command to find cards that are not appearing when needed

Elrond's Counsel for threat reduction (and bonus spirit) and can be regained via Will of the West

A Test of Will for encounter effect control, that can be regained via Will of the West

Warden of Healing for healing boosted by Elrond healing ability

Looks strong and fun. Never in a million years would I have realised that Ally Radagast could have his Staff. Clever use of Vilya to get Radagast in for free, so then he can help pump out more Eagles

I'm a new player getting into this game and trying to learn deckbuilding. I have a general idea of what to look for but still very green. I'm really loving the synergies in this deck. I've run a few campaigns on DragnCards and while it took me a little bit to learn the cards in this deck, I'm really starting to get a handle on it! I've completed Passage through Mirkwood, Journey along the Anduin, Dark of Mirkwood, The Old Forest, The Stone of Erech.
