I don't own Haradrim nor Mordor cycles so no cards from these packs.
I really like this deck, though you'll need to learn how to pilot it.
One trick I've discovered some time ago is to combine Stand and Fight with Good Meal. You can e.g. discard Glorfindel with Arwen to gain a resource, and then play Stand and Fight with Good Meal. This way you'll have a 2-resource discount on Glorfindel (or any other ally you wish to play).
Use Ride Them Down strategically, i.e. after staging (it can be life-saving). And it's free with Good Meal!
I've included Emery because she gives you more options for Caldara's ability quicker. And she's a free chump-blocker.
You'll have plenty of card draw with Hobbit Pipe, Ancient Mathom and Elven-light.
There might be some tweaking left to do when it comes to allies, but the deck works well as is.

Jul 09, 2026Yes, Glorfindel was just an example ;). Sometimes it's just cool to be able to bring him from discard outside of the planning phase and at a discount (and Stand and Fight allows that). Usually I use Stand and Fight to bring back e.g. Hama or an ally that was discarded via Emery's effect ;). As for Saruman - initially I ran two copies of him, but cut the second copy at the very last moment. I'll think about it, there's enough threat reduction here to handle it, and I love this card. Agreed - he's very underrated. |
Jul 09, 2026if u are such a fan of Good Meal, consider some Galadhrim Weaver to reshuffle them or use Erebor Hammersmith (playable with the Arwen Undómiel + Stand and Fight ) to get it back. its a win ;) only nerf is that Emery has a little risk. would replace Sailor of Lune for the Galadhrim Weaver or Erebor Hammersmith |
Jul 10, 2026Erebor Hammersmith with Stand and Fight won't work because his effect triggers only when you play him. Stand and Fight puts allies into play, so his effect won't trigger. As for Weaver, I considered it often I play events outside of the planning phase and when you use Good Meal for discount outside of the planning phase, it gets burried under the even that you just played ;). To be perfectly honest - I didn't include Weaver only because I wanted to have an extra attack option should I need it. I agree, Sailor is the first card to be cut from the deck if anything, but I rarely use it and I thought it kinda works in this deck so it stayed ;). |

You can play Glorfindel from your discard pile without Stand and Fight. The 2 cost discount is nice, but it might be better to safe Stand and Fight for someone who you cannot normally play from discard.
I love the deck! Caldara is such a fun deck to run (if a bit, okay, a lot overpowered), and your take on it is very interesting. Shout out for putting Saruman and Ride Them Down in your deck, two rarely used but (IMO) fun cards.
