Aurion 980
This is 1 deck from a 4-player fellowship which was designed for my friends and I to tackle the Hunt for Gollum but has easily beaten all of the scenarios in the Shadows of Mirkwood cycle. The fellowship has been constructed using cards from just the base game and Shadows of Mirkwood cycle.
As you can see, this deck heavily relies on the Eagle trait and has most of the usual suspects, although the lack of Descendant of Thorondor is conspicuous by its absence as it is included in the Leadership/Tactics deck. The main aim is to get Support of the Eagles on both Legolas and Brand son of Bain so that they can add the strength of the Vassal of the Windlord for a whopping 6 each. Eagles of the Misty Mountains are great for maintaining this if you have to lose a Vassal or Winged Guardian.
Both Legolas' and Brand's Ranged abilities and responses are pivotal in destroying enemies engaged with any player and providing additional progress when needed. A couple of Blades of Gondolin on Legolas can help to clear out active locations before any nasty effects can trigger.
There is plenty of threat mitigation in Radagast's Cunning and Secret Paths and you can use Infighting to redistribute damage in the staging area caused by Thalin from the other deck.
Quick Strike combos nicely with Brand as he can kill an enemy engaged with another player to then ready their best defender before enemies make their attacks. Protector of Lórien is best played on Frodo Baggins in the Spirit/Leadership deck or Bilbo Baggins in the Lore/Spirit deck if they have a Fast Hitch or Thalin with Unexpected Courage to give it the most versatility.
