The Dead are following – The Shadow Route from Dunharrow. While the main host of Rohan is still gathering, Aragorn -acompanied by some of his kinmen, Elladan, Elrohir, Halbarad, Legolas and Gimli - chooses a path where no mortal man dares to tread: the Paths of the Dead beneath the mountain of Dunharrow. This deck tells the story of that terrifying journey into the depths.
The strategy of this deck mirrors the chilling dread and unstoppable force of the phantom army. You begin with a high threat (Starting Threat: 32), symbolizing the approaching doom and the heavy burden of the oathbreakers. The key to victory lies in recruiting the Dweller of Dunharrow, Man of the Mountain and the King of the Dead. They step out of the shadows only when the need is greatest.By equipping Aragorn with legendary relics like Andúril and the Sword that was Broken, you transform the surviving Dúnedain and restless spirits into an unstoppable offensive force. You stall the enemy with the fear spread by the shadows until the Dead completely overwhelm the enemies' lines.
