Premise

Building a thematic Isengard deck is somewhat tricky because, well, most of their allies (except Steward of Orthanc and Saruman) are pretty subpar. This is my best attempt - combining the Isengard theme with some Gondor sprinkled in to enable Palantir as a further thematic aspect. Also, building a deck around A Very Good Tale was pretty much the only way I could ever justify including Orthanc Guard into a deck.

How To Play

I like to see card draw and resource acceleration early on to get you A Very Good Tale engine starting. Word of Command and Peace, and Thought are both great cards to get going. Also, beware to not discard Helm of Secrecy and The White Council since you need one of them in hand to transform Saruman into Aragorn late on (either directly through Helm or by recycling Helm through White Council).

Considerations

Campfire Tales, Man the Walls and The Wizards's Voice are cards mostly geared towards higher player counts. If you really want to go all-in on running a Palantir synergy, Far-sighted can be really potent as a facilitator. Waters of Nimrodel is a nice silver bullet for damage-intense quests, especially (again) in higher player counts.

Enjoy!!!
