Kind of a joke, but then the more I kicked the idea around, the more I thought that this guy who has spent his entire life sitting in my core set needed a little attention and a trip to Con of the Rings 2026.

Also, I can’t find a Brok MotK published, so here ya go!

Can’t wait to see how this shakes out, or collapses, at the Con this year!

Amazing! Now you just need to Sword-thain an ally to get a second hero, have Brok Ironfist get destroyed, put a second Brok Ironfist in due to his ability, and play The End Comes!

If you had a reliable way to get Legolas into play you could Unlikely Friendship.

This deck is a bit nuts. Bravo Doc!

I can't wait to play alongside Brok at Con this year! A couple of card considerations, if you're open to them:

  1. Tireless Thoroughbred instead of Dunedain Cache. Brok has the warrior trait and it costs the same but gets you sentinel too.
  2. Durin's Song would play well in the deck because of all of the readying you have packed from the Grey Wanderer contract, Unexpected Courage, and the Armored Destrier.

@easypat I’ll let you know!

@Maedhros100 an early. Weston actually had swordthain in for other reasons, but I could never afford it. Resurrecting himself is a funny idea.

@Marctimmins89 I had also tried three copies of Legolas in an iteration. Your suggestion fixes a lot of ,y problems. I think I got add that! Thanks.

@DunedainStrider. Those are both great. I had started this as a solo deck but the questing is painful. I think I’ll cut the northern trackers and lean into combat with both you ideas. Bravo!

There's a reason why there has been no (MotK) Brok Ironfist decks until now and that's because he doesn't offer anything outside of being decent fodder for Flame of Anor. He's not even a good target for To me! O my kinsfolk! anymore since the errata to Zigil Miner. He has a decent statline if you can get him into play for free but that is all he's got going for him and there is almost always a better alternative.

@Maedhros100 I'm not sure whether he could trigger his ability from himself leaving play. The reason Beorn can be resurrected is his ability is no longer active when he's out of play, so by the same logic, Messenger of the King would not apply once he's been discarded and he would no longer be classed as a hero and therefore not trigger his ability. I may be wrong but that's my understanding of it.

@Doc_H i would remove a lot of the readying effects and instead put nore allies into the deck. In The Grey Wanderer decks you only really need strider as then you can quest without exhausting, defend and ready using The Grey Wanderer itself to then attack back. In solo, you'll only be tackling one enemy at a time in most cases and in multiplayer, you won't be able to engage multiple enemies because your threat level will be that much lower than every other player. Okay, you can try and get ranged on him using Dúnedain Cache or Tireless Thoroughbred as discussed above but with so little card draw you might find that you are little use to anyone for a large portion of the game. You could include Westfold Horse-breeder or Weather Hills Watchman to dig for the ranged attachments if you decide to stick to your guns and other players will be happy to get ranged or sentinel if you include multiple copies of each.

One last thing... A Test of Will is almost useless in this deck as The Grey Wanderer only allows you to play a card off-sphere during the planning phase. You could exhaust Narvi's Belt at the beginning of each quest phase but that means you aren't able to use it until you've drawn the belt.

@Aurion That might be correct. Well, there goes my joke! ;) The End Comes would still work, and we know how good that card is!

Haha, sorry for being a killjoy! Yeah, the only time i remember having any success with The End Comes in a deck was on the redhorn gate and using it in combination with Bofur to shuffle in the locations with VPs back into the deck after they got discarded as shadow cards.

@Aurion yes, more allies would have been good but basically the goal was just to make a ranged attacker who could activate multiple times per round. He went 1-1 at Con of the Rings and was able to contribute three ranged attacks at 9 each round once set up. But, yes, he did nothing for questing and defending. I did make the changes from above -- @DunedainStrider had recommended the Tireless Thoroughbred, too, and it was the best change. All in all, it was fun. I would tinker more if I was going to keep this built, but I think it's time to retire Brok back to my bikespoke folder.
